Mystery Manila: Virtual Voyage

When my family and I went to Century City Mall in Kalayaan Avenue, Makati, we made sure to try the famous Mystery Manila.

Mystery Manila is a real life escape room game that can be played between 2-6 players. The team has one hour to find out how to escape the room by solving puzzles in 1 hour. The game requires patience, teamwork, and problem solving skills. There are different room themes that you can choose from: Sinister Sensorium, Pym Particle, Debby's Doll, Crime of the Century, Virtual Voyage, and Mutant's Mission. Rooms vary per branch.

Booking can be done online to ensure that you get the room you prefer, or you can do walk-in (which does not guarantee room availability). We chose to walk-in, and the earliest room available was Virtual Voyage.

We started at around 4pm, we had our bags stored and had a short orientation from our gamekeeper, and off we began! When we entered the room we had no idea what to do. It was so hard to find out how to solve the puzzles and we had to ask for clues (yes, you can ask for clues but this adds 5 minutes to your total time) from our gamekeeper to help us move forward.

Unfortunately, we were unable to solve the mystery but, we were able to ALMOST solve it since we were able to solve 60% of the mystery. The gamekeeper did not disclose how to solve it (as this loses the sense of it being a mystery) but he did mention that Virtual Voyage was the LEAST SOLVED mystery in Century City Mall. Better luck next time, I guess. At least we have the advantage of solving 60% of the mystery, we now only have to worry about the 40%.

I suggest to bring your family or friends to Mystery Manila and try out the excitement, the pressure, the thrill and the feeling of accomplishment when you solve the mystery. Mystery Manila has 4 branches in the Philippines and bookings can be done through their website http://www.mysterymanila.com/. I suggest you do your bookings prior to going so you can secure your preferred room.

Best of luck!
